Sibi Naayagam is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California who was born and brought up in Chennai, India – a multicultural filmfrenzy metropolitan city. Sibi is an Alumnus of the renowned USC School of Cinematic Arts. His focus is directing action & drama films and has so far directed a variety of shorts. He received the Epic MegaGrant in Fall 2020 for his animated short, ‘PONNI’. 

He is currently developing his first independent feature while his animated short is in the post-production stage. 

Besides directing, Sibi specializes in Virtual Production, mainly Unreal Engine and its applications for filmmaking. Virtual Production is an integration of computer science and motion picture production, two of Sibi’s specialities, that is fast being adopted worldwide at film studios and technical facilities everywhere. Sibi’s main contribution to field began when he joined the virtual production team at one of the largest and most respected companies in the world, the Moving-Picture Company (Technicolor – MPC).

At MPC, Sibi works as an On-Stage Virtual Production Operator for a highly anticipated feature film from a huge franchise. 

Sibi has also been a passionate photographer since he was 14 years old. Over the years, he has captured nature, insects and landscape but has recently been focusing on Model Photography with emphasis on Portraits & Fashion which populate his portfolio.

In the near future, Sibi hopes to explore Travel Photography to understand & capture our beautiful world and the many cultures that thrive in it .
